His style is rooted and traditional, yet touches on contemporary worlds with sensitivity and intelligence. His playing is dynamic, lyrical, and full of energy and power.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"386\" data-end=\"696\">Gincel, born in Tel Aviv, moved to Berlin in 2009 and quickly became a central and influential figure in the local jazz scene. He leads the Uri Gincel Trio, drawing inspiration from Tel Aviv, New York, Berlin, and his travels around the world &#8211; a blend that shapes a personal and moving musical language.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"698\" data-end=\"1137\">He began his musical path studying under Arnie Lawrence, one of the founders of the New School in New York, and received a scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
