Thursday | 8.1.26 | Zurhub Quartet

A musical ensemble founded by Matan Klein and Hazi Hait, both originally from Jerusalem. The band specializes in original music in the Brazilian jazz style, blending the rich and diverse sounds of Brazil with jazz improvisation and virtuosic performance.

Matan Klein, a flutist, and Hazi Hait, a guitarist, have been collaborating since 2011, and together they founded ZURHUB in 2017.
ZURHUB’s music is a unique fusion of Brazilian rhythms such as choro, samba, and bossa nova, combined with jazz harmonies and improvisation. Their compositions are influenced by a wide range of musical traditions, from Israeli folk to classical music, and are often inspired by the landscapes and cultures of Brazil.

The ensemble’s music has been widely acclaimed by both audiences and critics, and their performances are praised for their energy, creativity, and virtuosity. Members of the group have performed on various stages and festivals in Israel and abroad, including the Red Sea Jazz Festival in Eilat, the Jerusalem International Jazz Festival, and more. The ensemble continues to push the boundaries of Brazilian jazz, creating music that is both innovative and authentic.
