Raanan Havusha Quartet takes the stage ahead of the release of his new album, Next Chapter.
The performance leads the listener on a journey along the fine line between deep jazz roots and a modern, hypnotic, cinematic sound. This is not just a concert, but an experience moving between moments of stripped down minimalism and energetic grooves that make you want to dance.
On stage, four pillars of the genre come together – guitar, saxophone, double bass, and drums – creating an atmosphere that’s hard to put into words, reminiscent of a film-noir soundtrack or a waking dream.
Havusha’s guitar playing feels like an open confession, inviting the audience to encounter a new chapter in his personal life and dive into a sound that feels familiar, yet unlike anything else.
The quartet performs original, energetic modern jazz, blending influences of rock, funk, ethnic music, and ambient textures. These elements weave into warm, communicative melodies through captivating compositions, free improvisation, and a rare musical dialogue between the musicians.
The audience is taken on an emotional musical journey, offering a sense of intimacy, movement, and growth.
