On February 10th, the Ilana Goor Museum in Old Jaffa invites you to a special Benny Goodman Tribute Concert performed by the clarinetist Kobi Salomon and his Trio. Benny Goodman known as the “King of Swing” – a groundbreaking virtuoso, jazz clarinetist and bandleader, composer and conductor. He brought the swing to unprecedented heights and gained worldwide fame. The concert will feature jazz classics written or played by him and identified with him. We will start the evening with guided tours through the museum in Hebrew and Russian and with a glass of warm red sangria.

Saxophonist and clarinetist Kobi Salomon completed Bachelor of Arts in Music with honors from the City College of New York. Over the years, Kobi has played with many renowned jazz musicians in Israel and abroad, participated in various bands and performed in famous jazz clubs like Fat Cat, Smalls, Cornelia St. Café. Since his return to Israel, Kobi Salomon has played at several local and international music festivals. He also deals a lot with the musical education of the younger generation.
