On Thursday, August 12th, at 8 pm the Ilana Goor Museum invites you to a special concert where Gregory Rivkin’s jazz trumpet meets live electronic music composed and performed by Andrey Orenstein. The program includes authentic be-bop mixed with contemporary beats, original compositions and music from the recent album “Wonderland”🎺 The ticket includes one special cocktail from the local cocktail bar “Pick Bar”.
Gregory Rivkin has everything that a trumpeter could only ask for: the sound, flawless technique, range, total control. All these qualities are supported with unified ballance of emotions, spirit and intellect. During his teens Gregory became a first-prize winner of several national competitions in Israel and six times in a row won a scholarship of America-Israel Cultural Foundation, which brought him recognition and the opportunity to perform as a soloist with Israel Philharmonic in 1997. The trumpeter continued his artistic development in Paris, France and then in New York, N.Y., U.S.A. There he established a very high reputation among his peers, colleagues, veterans and “who is who” of the music and trumpet scenes. This led to the Diploma with Excellence ( First Prize) from National Paris Conservatory, participation in several international competitions both in France and United States and finally to the Carnegie Hall debut in 2006.
Started in 2010 in Yekaterinburg (Russia) as a multigenre band, the project known as “Amor Entrave” now is a one-man band, based in Tel-Aviv (Israel). The founder of “Amor Entrave” – Andrey Orenstein – also known as sound producer and remixer, is always searching for a balance between pop-music and art, sampling and live instruments, poetry and dancefloor.
