On March, the 10th, the Ilana Goor Museum in Old Jaffa is happy to host a unique duo of sax player Lenny Sendersky and an electric oud player Gershon Waiserfirer. The duo will perform a special program ‘Secret Mountains”, using various electronic effects to create an original blend of music genres and styles from jazz to rock and folk. We will start the evening with guided tours through the museum in Hebrew and Russian and with a glass of warm red sangria.

Lenny Sendersky – saxophone alto/soprano (Israel) was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he gained his renown as a visionary composer, performer and producer. His compositions have been performed by international jazz musicians, including Randy Brecker, Joe Locke, Carmen Souza & Theo Pascal ,Tony Romano, Slava Ganelin and many others. Sendersky launched his international career living and performing in Denmark for two years. In 2011, he immigrated to Israel, where he established himself in the jazz scene performing and successfully producing projects featuring Israeli, American and European jazz artists.
Gershon Waiserfirer – an actor and a multi-instrumentalist- was born in Tajikistan. The move to Israel was a life-shaping experience for him. Waiserfirer discovered his passion for music at the age of 11 when he started to study piano, trombone and euphonium and quickly became a soloist in the Tel-Aviv youth orchestra where he studied.
At the age of 21 Waiserfirer decided to take a break from music to study Theatre in “Beit Zvi”, one of the most prestigious theatre schools in Israel. After a few years of concentrating on theatre, he discovered the Oud, the ancient middle eastern string instrument which he never put down again. Waiserfirer shared the stage with legends such as Bobby McFerrin, The Trumpet Master Avishai Cohen and The pianist Vyacheslav Ganelin.
