On Thursday, May 26th, the Ilana Goor Museum in Old Jaffa is happy to host Yogev Shetrit Trio “Serenity”. Shetrit’s music contains original compositions that elegantly fuse traditional North African music, Gnawa, Andalusian music from his Moroccan heritage, along with contemporary Jazz and Mediterranean music. The concert will take place in beautiful sculpture garden on the museum rooftop in front of the sea. We will start the evening with guided tours through the museum in Hebrew and Russian and with a glass of sangria.

Yogev Shetrit (born in 1978) is a professional Israeli drummer, performer and composer. Shetrit studied at the Drummer’s Collective in NYC (2005) and received a full scholarship for studies at the Rimon school of Jazz and contemporary music (2006-7). He has been a music educator for more than 25 years. In 2015, Shetrit established his band, with the goal of playing his own compositions. His first studio album, titled “New Path”, was launched in September 2016 and since then the Yogev Shetrit Trio has performed across Israel and all over the world. Yogev Shetrit Trio has performed, in over 30 countries, at some of the largest festivals & venues worldwide, including the international Panama Jazz Festival and The Kennedy Center, Washington, DC.
