MAO in a special performance with cellist Talia Erdal
MAO is the duo of pianist Orel Oshrat and percussionist Maayan Dori. Together, they create an intimate and unique musical language based on deep listening and spontaneous improvisation. Their music blends precision and minimalism, complex rhythms and groove, with moving harmonies. Each MAO performance offers an immersive and unpredictable emotional journey.
Behind the duo lies a long career of performing and collaborating with many prominent artists in Israel and around the world. MAO is currently in the midst of a nationwide tour and preparing to record their debut album.
For this performance at the Ilana Goor Museum, an exciting third voice will join the duo – Talia Erdal.
Talia Erdal is a cellist, singer, and composer with a distinctive musical voice that crosses borders and genres. She has performed and collaborated with international ensembles on stages around the world. Talia is the principal cellist of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and alongside this role she is an independent artist, weaving together cello and voice, classical and jazz, folk, improvisation, and world music.
