An African figure whose facial expression, wide open eyes, gaping mouth and bared teeth attest to an impending event. The figure is covered in jewelry – one is a metal necklace placed on its neck and the other is a bracelet on its left foot that is engraved as an integral part of the entire statue. All of these elements point to the possible identity of the statue as a dancer.
